PROCESS

CONSULTATION

Here at Emily James, we offer a full ‘turn-key service’ and this process starts with an initial design consultation. This meeting is where we go through your visions, your expectations and your wants and needs in order to build as detailed a picture as possible, so as to confidently, and accurately, design and cost your bespoke fitted furniture.

DESIGN

The next stage in the process is the design of your fitted furniture. Once we have gathered all the relevant information from the consultation, it is our job to create CAD drawings to bring your vision to life and to help you visualise our proposal. This stage is not one we rush either; we make sure every aspect of the design is carefully considered and tweaked until you, the client, are 100% happy with the design.

Once the final version has been agreed and signed off, the furniture is ready to be made.

MANUFACTURE

Everything we make is handcrafted in our workshop in Edinburgh Scotland, giving us full autonomy to work with you on how each piece of cabinetry is produced. Our team have a wealth of experience between them, and their expertise knows no bounds when it comes to creating luxury furniture; the only limitation is your imagination.

INSTALLATION

To ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is maintained throughout our clients’ journey, our in-house fitting team offers a comprehensive dry-fitted installation service. This approach excludes any plumbing, plastering, or electrical work and focusses solely on the joinery aspect of the install.

PROJECT
MANAGEMENT

What sets us apart from our contemporaries is our ability to manage all aspects of the process in-house. We are a small team who work closely together with you, the client, to achieve a smooth and stressless install. Our project manager will be your point of contact throughout the process and will have full oversight on every aspect of the project.

Depending on the size and type of the project, we can also deal directly with your architect, builder and tradesmen to help with the logistics in bringing together all the various trades.

SIGN OFF

An additional service we offer as part of our project management is a guided walk through/sign off of the installed cabinetry to make sure everything is as it should be. In the unlikely event that there any snags highlighted, the subsequent remedial work will be booked in accordingly with our fitting team. Customer relations are of paramount importance to us, so making sure your cabinetry is delivered and fitted to our exacting standards is our parting gift to you.
